Surround Yourself With Inspiration To Have A Killer January
January is the month where everyone is going after their resolutions at full force. We all have so many things we want to accomplish and habits we want to start creating. These goals we have are great but it all starts with inspiration. As creatives, as much as we may not want to admit it, if were not constantly being inspired we lose focus and get discouraged. Surrounding yourself with inspirations in all aspects will help you keep your goals in front of you so you can continuously chase them.
Here are a few ways to keep your inspiration flowing in January.
Read as much as you can
Read, or listen if you Audible is your thing. Whenever I read this helps me get my imagination going and my creativity flowing. I recently been loving to read about other creatives. I picked up In The Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from over 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs. This book gives instant inspiration at a constant pace as you get to read about what fuels other creatives and hear about their passions.
Create a mood board
Keep your vision alive by creating a mood board. Mood boards are both visually pleasing and help you remember what your goals are. Yes they look pretty, trust me I know I am obsessed, but they will also keep you motivated especially if your mood board is somewhere that you can constantly see it.
Connect with creatives
Nothing inspires me more then meeting new creatives who are chasing their passions. Meet up for coffee, talk over instagram, read their blog, whatever! Don't just connect to "get something out of it" because nine times out of ten someone will be able to call your bluff. Connect to get inspired. Connect to listen. Connect to create genuine friendship.
These are a few ways you can keep your inspiration energy high and continuously flowing. Now let's chase some goals!? What's one goal you are trying to accomplish this January?
